Safety first this winter! From Pearland Pediatric Dentistry

As of today, winter is officially here, and with it comes not only the holiday season, but also sometimes unpredictable and inclement weather here in the Midwest. This week, Drs. Pamela Clark and Suha Reddy and our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry thought we'd share a few winter safety tips from our friends at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. These tips include everything from what to wear outdoors to tips for winter snow sports. Remember that:

* Older babies and young children should generally be dressed in one more layer of clothing than an adult would wear in the same conditions
* Several thin clothing layers will keep an infant or child dry and warm. Warm boots, gloves, mittens, and a hat are necessities!
* A cold air humidifier, saline nose drops, and petrolatum will help a child that suffers from winter nosebleeds.
* It is important for children to wash their hands frequently, and to use the bend of their elbow if they need to sneeze or cough to prevent the spread of colds and flu.
* Never ski or snowboard alone. Adults should supervise young children participating in winter sports.
* When sledding, it is preferable to separate young children from older children, and to avoid crowded areas.
* The AAP recommends that children under age 16 not operate snowmobiles and that children under age 6 never ride on snowmobiles.

We hope that these tips help keep you and your kids stay safe and sound this winter season. Please give our office a call if you have any questions, or if you would like to schedule your next appointment! See you soon and Happy Holidays!

Fall into reading with Pearland Pediatric Dentistry!

What better way to spend the fall months than inside by the fireplace with a warm cup of cider and a book in hand? Drs. Clark and Reddy & our team encourage you to warm up your child's mind this holiday season with a few great books. Sure it may be easy to put off reading when balancing a busy schedule, but reading is vital to kids' brain development. Plus, reading is always fun!

This week, we thought we’d ask: What are you or your child reading this fall? Do you have any suggestions for must-read books this year? Out of ideas for great fall reads? Ask us for suggestions, and Dr. Clark and our staff would be happy to provide a few suggestions. You may also ask a local librarian here in Pearland for some ideas or check out these fall reading ideas that we came across this week, courtesy of Amazon.

Happy reading! Be sure to share with us your fall picks or your all-time favorites on our Facebook page!

Ask Dr. Clark: Is tooth decay preventable?

Great question - yes, in fact, tooth decay is totally preventable! Tooth decay, which is caused by sugars left in your mouth, can turn into an acid, which in turn can break down your teeth. Children are at high risk for tooth decay for a simple reason: many children and adolescents tend to be lax in their oral hygiene habits. Proper brushing and flossing routines combined with regular dental visits help keep tooth decay away. A low-sugar diet also helps keep tooth decay at bay.

Your child should visit Pearland Pediatric Dentistry every six months (or as recommended) for regular dental cleanings and checkups. As part of our caries screening process, our office utilizes Caries I.D. technology. Caries I.D. is a pen-sized hand held device that utilizes LED technology to detect cavities in the earliest stages that can often be missed by traditional methods. Early detection means more conservative treatment for your child.

Lastly, we encourage you to check out this helpful article about kids and tooth decay, courtesy of our friends at KidsHealth.

Let us know if you have any questions - we want to hear from you on Facebook as well!

Hyland’s Teething Tablets: Recall - Risk of Harm to Children

Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration notified consumers that Hyland’s Teething Tablets is being recalled because the tablets may pose a risk to kids. Symptoms of belladonna toxicity include seizures, difficulty breathing, lethargy, excessive sleepiness, muscle weakness, skin flushing, constipation, difficulty urinating and agitation, according to the FDA.

Soprolife Intraoral Camera at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Clark and our staff recently purchased a new camera that was prominently featured on the TV show "The Doctors." As part of our commitment to learning about and obtaining new technology, the Soprolife Intraoral Camera uses fluorescence technology to find and detect cavities.

Here's how it works: The Soprolife camera emits a light onto the tooth and, when it is in treatment or diagnosis mode, the tooth will emit a color that helps the dentist to determine if the tooth is healthy or diseased. Of course, this helps Dr. Clark and Dr. Suha Reddy diagnose carious lesions or cavities. The camera can magnify teeth 30–to-100 times!

For any questions about the Soprolife camera, we encourage you to ask our staff during your child's next visit or ask us on Facebook! Happy Monday - we hope you had a wonderful Halloween!

"My daughter is turning one. When should I bring her in for a visit?"

Good question! The short answer is, "First visit by first birthday."

Dr. Pamela Clark and our staff know that cavities know no age boundaries, and that is why we recommend a visit to our office at age one. That also happens to be the opinion of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Dental Association agree. The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that children who are at risk of early childhood cavities visit a pediatric dentist by their first birthday.

Research has shown that cavities are increasing in preschool-aged children, and that more than one in four kids has had at least one cavity by the time they're four years old. In fact, many children get cavities as early as age two.

The appointment also covers topics such as the importance of baby teeth, nutrition, development and overall concerns you may have with your child. We believe that a child's first visit with Dr. Clark or Dr. Suha Reddy should be enjoyable and positive. At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, we strive to teach good oral care that will enable your child to have a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.

Have you scheduled an appointment for your child? We hope to see you soon!

Dr. Pamela Clark, helping your child understand cavities

At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, our staff knows one word no child wants to hear when they visit Dr. Pamela Clark is "Cavity!" That’s right, the dreaded cavity; but what exactly is a cavity and how do you get one? A cavity is a hole that develops in a tooth when the tooth begins to decay. It’s important to get a cavity filled as soon as it’s detected by Dr. Clark or Dr. Suha Reddy so that it does not grow bigger.

So, what causes a cavity? A cavity is caused by plaque, a sticky substance that forms on the tooth as a result of germ and bacteria build-up. Plaque is acidic and as it clings to your teeth the acids eat away the outside of the tooth (also called the enamel) and a hole is formed.

Yes, cavities can be repaired by Drs. Clark or Reddy, but here are a few simple steps you can take to prevent cavities:

• Brush your teeth at least twice daily
• Gently brush your gums to keep them healthy (when choosing a toothbrush it is recommended to use soft bristles)
• Floss your teeth at least once a day to remove plaque and food that may be caught between the teeth where your toothbrush can’t reach
• Limit the amount of soda and sugary treats you eat/drink
• Be sure to visit our convenient Pearland office every six months for a teeth cleaning and check-up

We hope that helps you and your child understand cavities a little better! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

September is National Gum Care Month!

At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, we know that gingivitis - the early stage of periodontal disease - can be difficult to recognize for most parents. Many people don't recognize the warning signs - bleeding and swollen gums - as a precursor to gum disease. This month, a national campaign is under way to raise awareness about gum health and periodontal disease, and we wanted to help do our part to spread the word about September being National Gum Care Month!

Dr. Pamela Clark and Dr. Suha Reddy will tell parents that early recognition and action are the most important steps to health gums, and ultimately a health body, too! Studies are published year after year linking oral health, including the gums, to the health of other areas of the body, such as your child's heart. One of the most important steps to improving the care of your gums is recognizing the warning signs for gum disease.

These can include:

• Gums that appear red or swollen
• Gums that feel tender
• Gums that bleed easily (during brushing or flossing)
• Gums that recede or pull away from the teeth
• Persistent halitosis, or bad breath
• Loose teeth
• Any change in the way teeth come together in the biting position

If you happen to notice any of these signs with your child, please schedule an appointment at our convenient Pearland office by calling 713.436.4080 as soon as possible. Drs. Clark or Reddy can take proactive steps to prevent gingivitis and gum disease in your child, while showing you how to improve gum care in your child's daily oral hygiene habits.

We hope you've had an outstanding Labor Day weekend!

Drs. Clark and Reddy, reminding you to wear your mouth guard this fall

With only three full weeks of summer remaining, Dr. Pamela Clark our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry would like to remind all our young athletes to take good care of your mouth while participating in contact sports (and non-contact sports) this fall. After all, we know this is a busy time of year sports-wise, whether you're playing light soccer at the local park or practicing for school sports this fall.

Here are a few tips to remember when you're out on the field in the coming months:

• Wear mouth guards during contact sports

• Wear a helmet

• Stretch before and after a game or practice

• Wear protective eyewear

• Wear a face shield to avoid scratched or bruised skin

• Be observant, even as a spectator

Remember, only by using a mouth guard can kids avoid serious mouth and facial injuries. We encourage you to ask Drs. Clark or Reddy (or one of our staff members) for a mouth guard during your next visit, and we will happily provide one!

Dr. Pamela Clark presents: Foods for healthy gums and healthy hearts

Gum disease, known also as periodontal disease, is far more common in American kids than you may think. Each year, new studies begin to link the effect gum disease can have on the heart, and our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry have been spreading the word! One of the simplest steps to achieving healthier gums can be your diet. We recently found a great article from EatingWell, outlining several options for healthier gums. Included among the suggestions were:

*Raisins
*Green Tea
*Whole Grains (barley, brown rice; buckwheat; oatmeal, popcorn, whole-wheat bread, pasta or crackers)

In addition to these foods being gums-friendly, they happen to be healthy foods in general, and a great option to begin integrating into your child's diet this fall.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

August is Get Ready for Kindergarten Month!

With the hot and sultry Dog Days of Summer slowly coming to an end, it's time for you and your child to start thinking about school. August is Get Ready for Kindergarten Month for the two million kids who will be entering kindergarten come September.

Our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry suggest getting involved in storytime by reading your child books about kindergarten, such as The Night Before Kindergarten or First Day Jitters.

Parenting Magazine also suggests that moms and dads take their child for a walk by their or perhaps taking him or her inside for a quick tour to get them familiarized with the concept of kindergarten. Take a walk around the classroom or peek in the windows and talk about what will be going on once school starts. Also, think about adjusting your child's sleep schedule gradually to the school’s schedule.

At home, make learning fun for your child by teach him or her the names of colors, or shapes and taking them on interesting trips around Pearland, Alvin, Shadow Creek Ranch or surrounding communities—to the library or grocery store, or to a museum or park—and talk with him or her about what he or she sees and what they think.

Finally, make sure your little one visits Dr. Pamela Clark or Dr. Suha Reddy before the first day of school. No one wants for your child to have to leave school because of a toothache! Please give us a call at 713.436.4080 to schedule an appointment!

We hope both you and your child have a happy and stress-free Get Ready for Kindergarten Month!

Drs. Clark and Reddy present: 5 easy steps to sun safety

Let's face it, summer can get pretty darn hot, and with the heat wave sweeping through the U.S. during last two weeks, Dr. Pamela Clark and Dr. Suha Reddy want you to think more and more about sun safety when you’re out and about. There are many ways kids can protect themselves during the hot summer months, and Parents Magazine has kindly provided five tips to help you get started.

1. Limit outdoor playtime between 10 and 4. (These are usually the hottest hours of the day).

2. Apply sunscreen properly. (Choose a sunscreen with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) 15 or higher. Apply to nose, ears, hands, feet, shoulders and behind the neck; lips can also burn, so apply a lip balm with SPF protection.

3. Wearing protective clothing. This includes a hat with a brim, sunglasses and a large umbrella.

4. Watch those medications. Some medications increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun, so make sure to ask your doctor whether your child may be at risk.

5. You're the parent: Set the example. If your child sees you following sun-safety rules, he or she will follow suit.

Drs. Clark and Reddy encourage you to please give us a call if you have any questions, and always have a bottle of water handy when heading out! We hope you're all having a fantastic summer so far!

Anesthesia Reversal at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry!

Your child’s comfort is an important priority in our practice. Children often dislike the lingering sensation of being numb after a dental procedure or may try to chew their lip or cheek causing trauma. To prevent any discomfort associated with the after-effects of anesthesia, Dr. Clark and Dr. Reddy are now offering OraVerse to their patients.

OraVerse is the only product of its kind to rapidly reverse the numbing effect associated with the use of local anesthesia. This gives your child the ability to speak, smile, and drink normally in a very short time following a procedure.

OraVerse is administered by injection but is not felt by the patient since they are already numb. Dr. Clark and Dr. Reddy recommend OraVerse for patients who have had simple procedures done such as restorative fillings, but not for procedures such as extractions.

We hope you had a GREAT Fourth of July weekend!!

Share your Fourth of July plans with Dr. Clark and team!

This Sunday, Dr. Pamela Clark and our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry will celebrate America's 234th birthday. For most people, Independence Day is a time to celebrate, as well as commemorate, the anniversary of the signing of our Declaration of Independence. It's also a time for most Americans to pay homage to all our soldiers, past, present and future - who lost their lives in battle - and soldiers who continue to place themselves in danger every day so that Americans everywhere may celebrate our freedom.

Today, we thought we'd ask: what are your Fourth of July weekend plans? Are you heading to a barbecue? Hitting the great American open road with family?

If you're planning on being around fireworks this weekend, Dr. Clark and team want you to be extra careful! We also want you to exercise caution if you'll be out swimming and remind you to wear sunscreen if you're heading out: wearing SPF 15 helps, but you should reapply it every couple of hours, especially after swimming or sweating in the sun.

Whatever you end up doing over Independence Day weekend, our entire staff hope you have a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend! We encourage you to give us a call for more summer safety tips.

Enjoy!

Ask Dr. Clark: How often should my child visit your office?

Pearland Pediatric Dentistry is based on preventive care, and we strive to teach good oral care that will enable your child to have a beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime. Establishing lasting relationships with our patient families, based upon mutual trust and open communication, is very important to us.

Your child should visit Dr. Pamela Clark and our team every six months for regular dental cleanings, tooth exams, as well as growth and development exams. We recommend professional fluoride treatments twice a year along with cleanings to keep teeth their strongest. At each recare visit your child will have their medical history updated, radiographs taken as needed, and a dental prophylaxis (cleaning) performed by our Dental Hygienist. Dr. Clark then performs a complete dental exam including caries screening, soft tissue exam, and evaluation of growth and development.

As part of our caries screening process, our office utilizes Caries I.D. technology. Caries I.D. is a pen-sized hand held device that utilizes LED technology to detect cavities in the earliest stages that can often be missed by traditional methods. Early detection means more conservative treatment for your child.

We encourage you to give us a call if you have any questions!

Tell Pearland Pediatric Dentistry what's on your child's reading list this summer!

With summer only days away, we've been thinking more and more about the importance of reading. Sure it’s easier for kids to go play with their friends or sit back and watch television, but Dr. Pamela Clark and team know that reading during the summer is a vital step for children to ensure they are prepared for school.

So here's the question: is your child reading a book this summer? If so, what's on their reading list? Tell us about it!

If you happen to be out of ideas for great summer reads, we encourage you to ask us for suggestions, and our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry would be happy to provide a few titles. You may also ask a local librarian for some suggestions or check out various summer reading ideas that we came across recently.

Happy reading!

Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, helping your child save face this summer

Wouldn’t you believe it, the long, hot days of summer are just around the corner! At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, our team knows that the summer months bring with them an increase in outdoor activities and a greater chance of our young athletes damaging their teeth.

If you're playing sports this summer, it's important that you consult Drs. Pamela Clark or Suha Reddy for special precautions, such as wearing a mouth guard. Mouth guards are advised for playing spring sports such as baseball, soccer, kickball and many, many other summer sports.

We were reminded about the need to wear mouth guards after reading an article recently about hockey player Keith Tkachuk needing reconstructive surgery after taking a puck right to the mouth. Tkachuk’s gruesome injury underscores the need for all of our patients to use facial protection at all times when out on the field.

In case of any accident involving the face, we want you to check your mouth immediately. If teeth are loosened or damaged, please schedule an appointment to see Dr. Clark immediately. And don’t forget to ask us—Drs. Clark or Reddy will be more than happy to provide a mouth guard!

Is your local playground safe for your child?

Spring is here summer is rapidly approaching, and that means your kids will probably be spending lots of time outside. Playgrounds are everywhere from your backyard to the neighborhood park, and it's important to know what safety features to look for before your child hangs out parks here in Pearland, Alvin or Shadow Creek Ranch.

At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, we found some important safety tips on the American Academy of Pediatrics' website that we'd thought we'd share them with you today. Here's to a happy and safe spring and summer, from Drs. Clark and Reddy and our entire team at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry!

* Carefully supervise young children using playground equipment. Keep children from shoving, pushing, or fighting.

* The surface under playground equipment should be energy absorbent. Use safety - tested mats or loose fill materials (shredded rubber, sand, wood chips, or bark) maintained to a depth of at least 9 inches.

* Install the protective surface at least 6 feet (more for swings and slides) in all directions from the equipment.

* Swing seats should be made of something soft, not wood or metal.

* Children should not twist swings, swing empty seats, or walk in front of moving swings.

* Put home playground equipment together correctly. It should sit on a level surface and be anchored firmly to the ground.

* Never attach ropes, jump ropes, clotheslines, or pet leashes to playground equipment because children can strangle on them.

* Cap all screws and bolts. Check periodically for loose nuts and bolts and broken, rusty, or sharp parts.

* Install playground equipment at least 6 feet from fences or walls.

* Check for hot metal surfaces on equipment such as those on slides, which could cause burns.

Dr. Clark wants to know: Is your child a mouth breather?

At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, we know breathing through the mouth instead of the nose may lead to trouble for kids. Now we have proof, thanks to a study published in the January/February 2010 issue of the journal General Dentistry.

Kids who typically breathe through their mouth - most often children who suffer from allergies - experience problems getting enough oxygen into their blood, a condition that affects their weight, size and sleep, which often affects their performance in classroom and daily life.

Dr. Yosh Jefferson, who authored the study, also notes that if left untreated, mouth breathing can cause dental and facial abnormalities. But there's good news: mouth breathing is a treatable condition. Doing so, however, requires early diagnosis and treatment. Since Drs. Clark and Reddy see their patients every six months, they may be in a position to identify the symptoms of mouth breathing.

If you suspect your child is a chronic mouth breather, please give our team at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry a call at 713.436.4080.

For more on mouth breathing, we encourage you to read the rest of the Dr. Jefferson's article. For more on children's dental health, head over to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services web site.

The importance of regular checkups, from Dr. Pamela Clark

Is your child brushing his or her teeth twice a day? If yes, that’s terrific! But, don’t forget that it’s also important for your child to visit Pearland Pediatric Dentistry every six months in addition to brushing their teeth a couple times a day. If your child will be visiting Drs. Clark or Reddy for the first time, it’s important to bring them in after their first tooth comes through, and no later than their first birthday. After all, regular dental checkups are important for maintaining good oral health. During the appointment, Drs. Clark or Reddy can:

• Check for problems that might not be seen or felt
• Detect cavities and early signs of decay
• Treat oral health problems early
• Show your child how to properly brush and floss their teeth

During an oral exam the doctor will check the health of your child’s mouth, teeth, gums, cheeks and tongue. Checkups will also include a thorough teeth cleaning and polishing. If your child has not been to the dentist in the last six months, it’s time for you to schedule an appointment!

Beware of those pesky cavities, from Pearland Pediatric Dentistry

Our team at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry read an interesting article this morning pertaining to cavities and how bacteria spreads, and thought we'd share the news with you, our valued patients.

According to the MSNBC article, Streptococcus mutans, or MS, is a bacterium that can pass from person to person through the transfer of saliva, and is the main culprit of parent-to-child cavity transmissions. Bacteria has been known to spread through blowing on babies' foods, sharing household utensils and even kissing your little one. In fact, a 2008 pediatric dentistry study showed “strong evidence demonstrated that mothers are a primary source of MS colonization of their children; a few investigations showed other potential sources … notably fathers.”

Our staff knows tooth decay is caused by a combination of factors, including the transfer of infectious saliva, oral hygiene, genetics and feeding practices, such as letting your baby constantly suck on sippy cups full of juice or milk or other sugar-laden liquids.

Drs. Clark and Reddy would like for you to read the article and learn about the transmission of bacteria and how it might impact your child. If you have any questions about bacteria or your treatment at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, please feel free to give us a call at 713.436.4080!

Ask Drs. Clark and Reddy: When is thumb-sucking a Cause for worry?

Lots of you have asked Dr. Pamela Clark about whether it’s healthy for children to suck thumbs and fingers. If you’ve got a thumb-sucker in the house, you are not alone. Research tells us that between 75% and 95% of infants suck their thumbs.

Is this something to worry about? In most cases, no. Sucking is a natural reflex for an infant, and can provide security and contentment as well as relaxation for your little one. It’s a habit that most children grow out of between the ages of 2 and 4.

However, if your child keeps sucking after he’s gotten his permanent teeth, it’s time to take a closer look. If your child sucks his thumb aggressively, putting pressure on the inside of his mouth or his teeth, it could cause problems with tooth alignment and proper mouth growth. If you’re worried, give us a call and we will help assess the situation, and provide tips for how to help your child break the habit.

The importance of dairy, from Drs. Clark and Reddy

Is dairy a major part of your child's diet? A 2008 study from the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) has found that regular consumption of dairy products, such as milk, cheese and yogurt, can lower chances of contracting periodontal disease (known also as gum disease).

Drs. Clark and Reddy will tell you gum disease is caused by a bacterial infection in the mouth that affects the gums and jaw. Gum disease results in a loss of teeth and bone, and has been connected to certain cases of osteoporosis, respiratory disease, stroke and heart disease.

Results of the study showed that people who consume at least 55 grams of lactic acid a day are less at risk for gum disease. Eating dairy is not just healthy for building strong bones, but is essential for maintaining a strong, healthy mouth. Next time your child reaches for a quick snack, remind him or her to choose some cheese, or a glass of milk, and remember with each bite, and every sip your child is preserving their teeth for a lifetime of smiles and good oral health!

For more information about keeping your teeth healthy, give us a call at 713.436.4080.

Your child and cavities, from Pearland Pediatric Dentistry

We read a fascinating article on cavities recently in USAToday. In the article, the president of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry said that one-third of children in the U.S. have cavities—that's right, multiple—by age three to five. That's why—under a new Massachusetts law—kids in day care there are now required to brush their teeth or have them brushed by a staffer. The article also points out that cavities are much more prevalent among young children today than they were a decade ago.

Cavities, of course, can lead to severe tooth pain, eating problems, tooth loss and bad smiles, and that's why the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry says it's vital for children to visit a dentist by their first birthday. Has your child visited Pearland Pediatric Dentistry yet? If your little one is one nearing his or her first birthday, it's time to schedule an appointment with Drs. Clark or Reddy.

Happy Thursday!

Ask Drs. Clark and Reddy: When should my child come in for a check-up?

At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, we think a child's first visit to the dentist should be enjoyable and positive. The more you and your child know about the first visit, the better you will feel. Children are not born with a fear of the dentist, but they can fear the unknown. At Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Pamela Clark and Dr. Suha Reddy and our dedicated team make a practice of using pleasant, non-frightening, simple words to describe your child's first dental visit and treatment. We want you and your child to feel at ease from the moment you walk through the door.

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, or AAPD, children should visit the dentist by their first birthday. It is important that your child's newly-erupted teeth (erupting at 6-12 months of age) receive proper dental care and benefit from proper oral hygiene habits right from the beginning. Your child's first tooth erupts between ages 6-12 months and the remainder of their 20 primary or "baby" teeth typically erupt by age three.

If you have any questions about pediatric dentistry, or about your treatment at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry, please give us a call!

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month!

For 60 Februaries, the American Dental Association, or ADA, has sponsored National Children's Dental Health Month to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. National Children's Dental Health Month began as a one-day event in 1941 in a Cleveland, OH clinic.

The American Dental Association held the first national observance of Children’s Dental Health Day on Feb. 8, 1949, according to the ADA. In 1981, however, the program was extended to a month-long celebration known today as National Children’s Dental Health Month.

Each February, Drs. Clark and Reddy and thousands of dental professionals focus on the preventive oral care of America's children. Our staff at Pearland Pediatric Dentistry wants you to remember developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. Has your child visited our office during the past six months? If not, it’s time to give us a call and schedule an appointment!
